The Community Bus is a London Transport double decker which has been converted for mobile youth provision.

The bus is able to provide specific, targeted youth activities in areas of isolation and deprivations in Croydon, parts of London and Kent.

The bus is equipped with an arts and crafts area, discussion pods and 'chill out' areas. There are plasma TVs, a kitchenette, sports equipment and other accessories which can be used outdoors.

Each session includes the chance to have group discussions on topics such as gang awareness, emotional wellbeing, risk-taking behaviour (including drug and alcohol abuse), emotional intelligence and healthy lifestyles. All group work activities on the Community Bus can be accredited through the AQA Unit Award Scheme.

We are currently working in partnership with a range of providers to deliver the SUB (Stand Up Bus) Project. The plan aims to develop opportunities for additional income generation and longer term community sustainability by offering the bus to a range of partners to use during the week and at weekends.
