Treasure Box Scrap (TBS) offers a play programme which introduces scrap and loose parts into the playground, helping to revolutionise lunchtime play in early years’ settings and primary schools.

Children spend a considerable amount of time at school and it’s important that some of that time is spent at play. Play should enrich their school experience and help them relax and socialise. The TBS process encourages open-ended exploration and interactions. Imaginations are fired up and new worlds are discovered!

The TBS training programme is delivered by our fully trained and experienced play workers.

The initial training programme covers:

  • Initial site survey
  • Accredited training for lunchtime staff
  • Advice and information sessions for staff, governors and parents;
  • Mentoring and follow-up support.

Other elements of the service include:

  • Refill packs of loose parts top up
  • Annual play audit
