YES project (Youth Employment Scheme) is focused on supporting young people aged 16-24 who have been outside employment, education or training.

We particularly focus on the so-called ‘hidden NEETS’ - those who are not claiming work related benefits and are not accessing statutory support.

Play Place is working in the Croydon Borough to support to develop young peoples' skills in their area of interest to either get back into education or find employment. Each young person has access to a mentor who meets with them to identify what they would like to do, then helps them set achievable goals to work towards whilst on the programme.

Play Place has engaged with a variety of partners to support young people into areas such as music, mechanics, construction etc. If you are aged 16-24 and have been out of employment or education then do get in contact. Alternatively if you know someone who is, then please refer them to us.

We can support you from working through the paperwork for Universal Credits, writing a CV to finding the right apprenticeship or work experience for you. We are currently working with Talent Rise, Croydon Works, Employability Team (For those with disabilities), Palace 4 Life, London Learning Consortium - and many many more.

Funded by:

  • European Social Fund and managed by London Learning Consortium.
