Covid – 19 Update

29th May 2020

Following recent government changes to the Covid – 19 policy, Play Place have made the following decisions:

Pre-Schools and After School Clubs

We will be opening our pre-schools on from Monday 1st June 2020. This will be on a staggered intake basis.
This will be subject to any further government updates and all relevant health and safety requirements being put into place.

Please contact your settings managers if you have any queries regarding the setting opening and in regards to your child’s return date and please see parental declaration which must be agreed before your child's return.

Currently all of our after school clubs will remain closed until September. We will release further information as we receive it.

Youth Provision and Community Hubs.

Our community hubs are currently staying closed, we are working towards providing a level of detached youth provision but this will be down to social distancing measures and government regulations on group gatherings. We are also looking at the prospect of zoom virtual youth activities. Further information to follow.

Online work

We will be continuing with our online work and have had very positive feedback towards this. We thank you for continuing to support us and joining in with our activities.

As always, we will continue to follow Government guidance and update accordingly. All of the above is subject to change if deemed appropriate.

 Mission Statement

We are preparing for our return.

In these challenging times we are having to make difficult decisions and choices.

We at Play Place are aiming to open some of our doors to our youngest children where we offer Early Years provision.

Everyone counts, our staff, children and families are all precious. We are working with families and our dedicated teams to make arrangements that we feel will work with the service we will deliver.

Children will be welcomed in at our services, we will provide a happy place to play and learn in these unsettled times. We recognise that for some families now is not the the time and we will continue to stay in touch.

We shall continue to work with requirements drawn down from government and will keep you postedd with developments as they occur.

Smile in the sunshine, stay safe.
