The Music studio (TMS) at our Wayside Community and Family Hub in New Addington, Croydon, is a fully equipped professional music studio and media suite.
We have six Apple Mac computers and access to software programmes such as Reason and LOGIC, a mixing desk, vocal booth and high quality recording equipment. Our sessions provide young people with an opportunity to write lyrics, DJ, understand radio production and record vocals to culminate in the production of a CD.
Our courses support young people who are interested in developing their musical or self- expression interests. Course cover the subjects of music production, vocal training, performance skills, techniques and finally the recording using their acquired skills.
Young people are taught how to use the music production programmes, recording and microphone techniques, engineering, directing skills, post-production and mastering techniques, so that they have a strong base of understanding of how to get to the final product.
We can support young people to work towards a foundation level Arts Award.
